This sounds like a fascinating project. Clearly, we have established new words or new meanings for old words and our vocabulary changes constantly. Such words as "tweet" or "second life" would've had different meanings only a few years ago.
Two points: 1) I wonder if the use of abbreviated written language on the web will negatively impact writing skills of the next generation. 2) Things are changing so rapidly that it is possible that by the time you complete this video presentation, another form of computer-mediated communication may have been created.
